Minutes of the DM meeting held on 3 November 2009

Present: James McLachlan, Gaby Aptula, Matthew Gardner, Robert Gardner
In attendance: Fergus Cooper (trainee DM), Andrew Maddison (projectionist), Edward McCutcheon (trainee DM)
1. Welcome and apologies for absence
James welcomed those present to the fifth meeting of term.
Apologies were received from Rachel Crofts, Mike Joy, George Marshall, Owen Rye, Pierre Schramm and Natalie Tyldesley.
2. Rotas
The early showing of Harry Potter and the late showing of Angels & Demons remained free.
3. EPOS system
Ed said that the IT Team were aiming to have the new website and EPOS system ready before the end of the current Exec term. There would "hopefully be something" by Christmas. Mat declared them the most awesome IT Team ever.
James reported that the network cables on the master till and Slave 1 had been replaced.
4. Admissions policy
It was discussed whether babies should be admitted to the theatre after a couple brought their baby to Il Divo and left before the second reel. It was agreed that the best policy would be to discourage parents who attended screenings with their babies by emphasizing the loudness and vibrations of the cinema.
Mat said that the KPMG representatives had no problems with the presence of the baby during their speeches.
5. Night safe key tag
The orange tag won the poll. Gaby combined the tag and key after James failed to do so.
6. AOB
- Robert asked whether more trainees would be taken on within the next four weeks. It was agreed that more trainees should be taken on but there were no obvious candidates.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:35 pm.
