Lesbian Vampire Killers
Two no hopers. One cursed village. One hell of a night!
In this much awaited feature-length production from the loveable Horne and Corden, the two star as a pair of hopeless bachelors who, due to a lack of cash and women, retire to the English countryside for an inexpensive weekend away, and maybe even some sexy lonely women. Little do they know, the village they arrive in is cursed – each girl is transformed into a lesbian vampire on her 18th birthday! Cue the sexual puns and pouting girls, with many a cleavage shot. With only the help of a deluded vicar and a questionable weapon, the two lads must save the village and indeed the entire world!
This slasher spoof works well, mostly due to the undeniable chemistry between Corden and Horne as they take on a similar relationship to their well-known characters Smithy and Gavin from British sitcom Gavin and Stacey. The plot is purposefully over fetched, and although due to this it lags on some occasions, Corden’s laddish humour succeeds in saving the day and his obvious display of man-love for Horne never ceases to produce a laugh or two. For a spoof, this film also succeeds in throwing in some genuinely jumpy moments, helped by its low-budget style. A silly, enjoyable film which shows the boys at their best, with plenty of extra eye-candy thrown in!
