The Divergent Series: Insurgent

Insurgent is the second film in the latest fantasy trilogy based on the books by Veronica Roth. Picking up the action where its predecessor, Divergent, left off with the dystopic ruins of a futuristic Chicago in a state of political upheaval and war. Tris and Four are on the run from the Erudite fraction and their leader Jeanine Matthews who is determined to hunt down all divergents and kill anybody who poses a threat to the political take-over of Erudite. Tris and Four are determined to find out the true meaning behind Abegnation’s sacrifice for them and so they form an alliance with the fractionless (people who do not belong to a district) and survivors from Dauntless and other fractions. However, Tris is remains deeply conflicted as she tries to understand the true meaning of her divergent nature, save the ones she loves and deal with the guilt of her past decisions. In this city of war and secrecy both the future and the past prove to be evasive, unclear and dangerous…
